Aku World
Bridging Digital Art and Reality

In the rapidly expanding NFT realm, artist Micah Johnson aimed to give fans a tangible experience of his digital character Aku. The challenge was creating a unique, immersive world where Aku's fans could interact with the character in the physical world, bridging the gap between digital art and real-world experiences while showcasing the transformative potential of NFTs in Miami's vibrant art scene.

Approach

We collaborated with Matte Projects to design an immersive Aku universe, transforming Miami's 30,000 square foot Wynwood Arts 29 into an intricate world. Our creative vision encompassed digital and physical production, featuring a colossal Aku helmet, NFT art gallery, retail space, and 4D-scanning workshop for custom avatar creation. We created futuristic subway cars, immersive projection mapping, and multimedia portfolio spaces.
