Club Renegade approached PHNTM to bring UK electronic legends Chase & Status to Venice Beach Skate Park for an unprecedented fusion of rave culture and California skate heritage. The challenge: create an immersive experience that honored both the underground music scene and Venice's legendary boarding culture while pioneering sustainable event technology. The brief demanded innovation beyond traditional festival setups.

PHNTM crafted an experiential narrative that celebrated collision - where UK drum & bass meets West Coast skate culture. We partnered with SOLARPUNKS to implement a revolutionary 480V battery system, completely eliminating diesel generators while powering Pure Filth Sound's bone-rattling sound system. Our creative direction transformed the iconic bowls into amphitheaters, with strategically positioned audio creating an immersive sonic landscape that respected the park's heritage.
The event proved that underground music culture can lead the way in reimagining energy relationships, showing the future of dance music can pulse to the rhythm of the sun rather than diesel generators. We created a proof of concept for sustainable event production while delivering an authentic experience that resonated with both electronic music devotees and skate culture purists, establishing a new benchmark for conscious event design.
